Bonneville Radio, a media company that operates 26 radio stations, is seeking a web reporter for its Cincinnati, Ohio stations.

The reporter will produce daily lifestyle stories for the stations' websites. Applicants should have a bachelor's degree and two years experience.

Journalism scholarship for Cincinnati area students

Two newspapers in suburban Cincinnati are offering $2,500 journalism scholarships for college students from their coverage areas.

The Hamilton Journal News and the Middletown Journal have each established $2,500 scholarships "to assist students in the completion of their education in career areas that serve newspapers. These areas include journalism, advertising, marketing, art, accounting and computer services."

Applicants must be at least a college sophomore, demonstrate interest in pursuing a newspaper career, reside (or have parents who reside) in the communities served by the Hamilton Journal News and the Middletown Journal and have a minimum 3.0 GPA for at least the previous academic year.

The filing deadline is May 8. Applications can be obtained from the Hamilton Journal News or the Middletown Journal offices or online at www.journal-news.com or

Reporter @ Cincinnati newspaper

The Cincinnati Community Press, a chain of weekly newspapers owned and distributed by the Cincinnati Enquirer, seeks a versatile reporter to write news, features and even columns.

"You will be responsible for writing news and feature articles for one or more newspapers; and may write columns," the ad states. "Duties include collecting information by contacting sources; reviewing police reports and public records; attending meetings or events; maintaining personal contacts; conducting interviews; taking photographs; and generating story ideas. You will receive assignments and compile story lists for approval by the editor; maintain and update a beat book of news sources, phone numbers and other pertinent information. Occasionally, you may assist with editing, headline writing and layout of the newspapers or special sections. "

Journalism scholarships for Cincinnati area students

Cincinnati Area journalism students can apply for a scholarship. (Amount is not specified.)

The 2009 Annual Hall of Fame Collegiate Scholarships, sponsored by the Society of Professional Journalists' Greater Cincinnati Chapter, are offered to "Cincinnati metropolitan area full-time college and university upper-class undergraduate students with a minimum grade point average of 3.0 and pursuing a career in journalism."
