Games.com, an AOL website that is one of the most visited online game destinations, seeks a paid editorial intern. The Fall internship is based in New York City, 20 hours per week, and pays $10 per hour.

The intern's duties will include: creating and maintaining editorial content on the Games.com Blog; promoting articles on the blog through link exchanges, promotions, etc.; assisting game directors with programming and research for various AOL Games/Games.com projects; researching online gaming trends and doing competitive analysis; marketing and promoting via viral ideas, social networking, etc.

The Real Deal, a 60,000-circulation real estate news magazine that "provides an inside look at the big players and major deals" in New York City, is offering a paid internship this spring.

"The internship will provide real reporting experience, and will include research and writing," the ad states. "Monthly stipend provided. Hours are flexible, but interns are expected to work three hours a day at least three days per week."

Legal reporting jobs in NYC

Portfolio Media, a publisher of widely-read daily newsletters about legal news, has several full-time reporter openings in its Manhattan office.

Duties include: "Cover breaking news about litigation, law and policy for our daily online newspaper. Reporters will cover a wide array of practices, including employment law, environmental law, intellectual property law and securities law, in industries such as energy, financial services, health-care, media and technology. On a typical day, reporters will file three stories, including updates on court cases and other news of interest to business lawyers. All candidates would be trained to cover legal topics, and no legal degree or experience is required."

Salary is $38,000 to $48,000 plus bonus and the job comes with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, paid time off, 401(k) and other perks.
