Temporary congressional correspondent @ Gannett

Gannett News Service is seeking a temporary Washington bureau reporter to covering Congress and the federal government for an Arizona audience.

The reporter will provide breaking news, analytical enterprise and feature coverage for use in print and online, focusing on the issues and people that Arizona readers care about. The reporter will cover congressional delegations, key votes, issues hometown papers care about and legislation or regulations that would have the greatest impact on local communities.

White House reporter @ CongressDaily

CongressDaily, a leading source of news and information for congressional insiders published by the National Journal Group, seeks a full-time reporter to cover the White House for its print and Web-based publications.

"The successful candidate should have at least two years of experience in daily journalism and a track record of aggressive reporting and clear, authoritative writing," according to the job posting. "Previous experience covering Congress or the White House is a plus."

There are several editorial openings at Congressional Quarterly, a Washington, D.C.-based media company that produces a variety of political journalism publications, including CQ Weekly, CQ Today and Governing magazine...
  • New Editor: edits most of the news stories produced by a staff of 30 reporters for CQ's online news site and for its daily print publication, CQ Today.
  • Committees Reporter: writes news stories and descriptions of votes, schedules and other actions in congressional committees for CQ.com, as well as reporting and writing Bill Analysis briefs. Also writes for CQ Today and the CQ Weekly.
  • Social Policy Reporter: cover social policy issues before Congress for CQ Today, CQ’s online news site and CQ Weekly.
  • Technical Journalist: responsible for conceiving of and building dynamic Web applications, maps and mash-ups for CQPolitics, CQ’s free content site that is being expanded.

News radio station seeks D.C. correspondent

Pacific News Center in Guam is seeking a Washington correspondent to file reports for radio.

The freelancer will cover Guam's Washington Delagate Office and Congressional hearings concerning Guam and Pacific Affairs.

PNC produces multiple daily news broadcasts for the radio medium, including news feeds for K-57 Guam, Power 98 Guam and 105.1 The KAT.
