Entry-level news assistant @ ABC News

ABC News is hiring entry-level digital news associates for its Washington and New York newsrooms.

Duties involve a variety of tasks for TV and websites, such as: Researching video and editorial elements, editing voice over material for all platforms, writing and producing digital content, producing live shots, identifying and pitch stories, logging and feeding video, shooting on DV cameras in the field, pre-interviewing and booking guests in breaking news situations, managing guests who appear in live segments for platforms, coordinating travel for news stories, etc.

News assistant @ Buffalo TV station

TimeWarner seeks a news assistant for its new 24-hour cable channel covering the Buffalo area.

Duties include going out in the field to shoot video and sound bites, interviewing and obtaining information in order to accurately and thoroughly report a story, and assisting reporters.
