Entry-level newspaper reporter jobs

Several newspapers, including some in large cities, are seeking entry-level reporters:
  • Baton Rouge, Louisiana: The Advocate, a 95,000-circulation daily newspaper is offering two-year paid internships for recent graduates. Send resumes and clips to hr@theadvocate.com.
  • Salt Lake City, Utah: The Deseret News, a 70,000-circulation statewide daily newspaper in Utah, seeks reporters for its city desk. Send a resume and published clips to Tad Walch, City Editor at twalch@desnews.com.

Houston newspaper chain seeks reporters & interns

Houston Community Newspapers seeks two full-time reporters for its chain -- one at its daily newspaper in Pasadena, Texas, and one at its twice-weekly newspaper in Deer Park, Texas.
