AOL Travel, a website that attracts 5.3 million unique visitors per month, is offering a full-time paid editorial internship. The position is based in the Washington, D.C. suburbs of Sterling, Va. and allows for some telecommuting.

Pay is $25 per article. Articles should be 500 to 600 words, based on your actual travel experience and written in an upbeat and humorous style.

Family Travel Forum, a group of websites about family travel, seeks paid interns for spring and summer in its New York office.

"We are looking for an independent, enthusiastic, motivated candidate who will work, under editorial supervision, to maintain and update our websites, research destinations online, report on upcoming events, assist with fact-checking and html styling and assist with office clerical chores," the ad states.

Get paid to travel around U.S. and blog

What a fun writing gig: Southwest Airlines is looking for someone to travel around the country for the next year and blog about it. The winner will be provided with airfare and hotel accommodations for each assignment along with a laptop, video camera and editing software.
