Paid internship @ Consumer Reports

Consumer Reports, a 4 million-circulation monthly magazine that reviews products and services, is offering paid internships this summer in its (Yonkers) New York office. Interns will receive a $1,500 stipend and academic credit is available.

"Summer interns will participate in the day to day operation of a high-energy department focused on informing consumers about products and services and empowering them in the marketplace," the ad states. "Interns may assist Editorial Staff with special projects and participate in preparing editorial content."

Paid internship @ Consumer Reports

Consumers Union, the nonprofit publisher of Consumer Reports magazine, has an immediate need for one paid intern in its San Francisco bureau. The internship is for 24 hours per week for 20 weeks at $16 per hour beginning as soon as possible.

"The work will primarily involve reading and developing the many stories we have gathered from consumers across the nation whose lives have been dramatically affected by the financial crisis," the internship posting states. "The intern will work closely with CU’s Financial Services Campaign Team, and will be called upon to read and verify stories, communicate with consumers, as well as conduct research and write for publication."

Five-month paid internships @ Consumer Reports

Consumers Union, the nonprofit publisher of Consumer Reports magazine, has an immediate need for three paid interns in its San Francisco bureau. The internship is for 15 hours per week for 20 weeks at $16 per hour beginning as soon as possible.

"The intern will work closely with CU's Financial Services Campaign Team, and will be called upon to read and verify stories, communicate with consumers, as well as conduct research and write for publication," the internship posting states. "Essential to this work is a passion for consumer advocacy, good verbal and written skills, excellent interviewing skills and an ability to work well with others."
