Year-round internships @ USA Today
The USA Today, the most read daily newspaper in the U.S., offers journalism internships year-round at its Washington, D.C. area headquarters in various sections: News, Opinion, Money, Sports, Travel, Life. In addition, internships are also available in multimedia, photography, page layout/design, weather, copy editing, online and the New York bureau.Because the internships are unpaid, only students who can receive academic credit for the internship are eligible. Standard minimum work commitment is 15-20 hours, two to three days a week for 12 weeks.
To apply, submit your cover letter, resume and work samples to newsroominterns@usatoday.com. Occasionally a student can secure an internship after the initial deadlines, which are summer, Dec. 1; autumn, April 1; and spring and holiday interim, Oct. 15.
