White House reporter @ CongressDaily

CongressDaily, a leading source of news and information for congressional insiders published by the National Journal Group, seeks a full-time reporter to cover the White House for its print and Web-based publications.

"The successful candidate should have at least two years of experience in daily journalism and a track record of aggressive reporting and clear, authoritative writing," according to the job posting. "Previous experience covering Congress or the White House is a plus."

Free D.C. event: Helen Thomas to give talk

Legendary White House correspondent Helen Thomas will be speaking at a free event in the D.C. area on March 2.

Often called "The First Lady of the Press," veteran White House reporter, author and Hearst Newspapers columnist Helen Thomas looks back as an eyewitness to history and delves into her story when she sits for a conversation with Arlington Public Library Director Diane Kresh. This event is in recognition of National Women's History Month. A book signing will follow the remarks.
